Il nostro scopo è dimostrare che la Bellezza è intorno a noi, su ogni pietra che calpestiamo o tocchiamo mentre passeggiamo, basta saperla vedere. Non sarà facile ma insieme potremmo provarci e forse riuscirci. L’Associazione non è nata per vivere un passato che non è più attuale, bensì per amore della conoscenza, degli eventi e delle memorie storiche della città di Firenze, con la speranza di coinvolgere altri amici che hanno la nostra stessa passione.
Voi ci avete visto crescere giorno dopo giorno e ci avete dato tanta fiducia ed incoraggiamento, sia attraverso la frequenza con cui ci avete seguito sulle nostre pagine web, sia con la partecipazione alle visite guidate create dai nostri collaboratori. Ora noi vorremmo sviluppare un percorso nuovo, teso a rendervi direttamente partecipi alle nostre attività per mezzo di una nuova iniziativa che consentirà, a tutti coloro che ne siano interessati, di iscriversi gratuitamente all’Associazione, cosi che ciascuno di voi avrà la possibilità di interagire con noi. In che modo? Ogni iscritto potrà suggerire approfondimenti su aspetti della storia passata o contemporanea, proporre la creazione di nuovi itinerari o fornire idee per lo sviluppo di nuove pagine web. Potrete anche approfittare degli sconti che faremo sulle singole visite e venire con noi a delle passeggiate, completamente gratuite, all’insegna dell’arte, della storia e del divertimento.
Ci teniamo a dire che l’associazione è nata unicamente dalla passione e dall’interesse infinito dei suoi fondatori per la storia e i suoi risvolti.
Noi siamo tutt’altro che “fuori dal tempo”, anzi – abitiamo il mondo con delicatezza e silenziosa contemplazione, nella meditazione ininterrotta dell’evolversi della Storia; il nostro cuore si rivolge al passato in conforto, in consolazione, in supporto a un presente che probabilmente non ci rappresenta o non ci soddisfa, ma rimaniamo i suoi cittadini più accorti e più attenti, seppur in bilico tra l’esserne spettatori e attori. Proteggeremo ciò che siamo, ché forse è il solo modo, ormai, per ricordare a tutti noi e agli altri che abbiamo una responsabilità nei riguardi dei posteri quanto quello che i nostri avi hanno avuto per noi.

Our purpose is to show that beauty is around us, on every stone we walk or touch while walking, we just know it. It will not be easy but together we can try and maybe succeed. The Association was not born to live a past that is no longer present but for the love of the knowledge, events and historical memories of the city of Florence, with the hope to engage other friends who have our own passion.
You have seen us grow day by day and you have given us so much confidence and encouragement, both through the frequency with which you followed us on our web pages, and by participating in guided tours created by our collaborators. Now, we would like to develop a new path that will help you to participate directly in our activities through a new initiative that will allow all those interested to subscribe to the Association for free, so everyone will have the opportunity to interact with us. How? Each member will be able to suggest some insights into past or contemporary history, propose new routes, or provide ideas for the development of new web pages. You can also take advantage of the discounts that we will make on individual visits and come with us for walks, completely free, featuring art, history and fun.
We are saying that the association was born solely by the passion and infinite interest of its founders for history and its implications.
We are far from “out of time”, indeed – we live the world with delicacy and silent contemplation, in the uninterrupted meditation of the evolution of History; Our heart turns to the past in comfort, in consolation, in support of a present that probably does not represent us or does not satisfy us, but remain its most cautious and caring citizens, albeit in balance between being spectators and actors. We will protect what we are, for perhaps it is the only way now to remind everyone and others that we have a responsibility for posters as our ancestors have for us.
